We often say "Art is everywhere," which then creates a paradox where art is simultaneously a vast entity and simply nothing at all.  Artists take something ordinary from the world around them and make it extraordinary, creating wonder out of the mundane.  Exploring this relationship between artist and environment, Deadline Projects presents Neither Here Nor There, a one-night exhibition featuring new work from local artists, highlighting the influences of everyday life in a big city.  Neither Here Nor There is a free event and opens to the public on Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 from 6pm to 11pm at Helicon Hall Gallery, 1542 N Milwaukee, 2nd Fl.

Neither Here Nor There is part of Chicago Artists Month, an annual celebration of Chicago’s vibrant visual arts community during the month of October. Over 200 events take place including exhibitions of emerging and established artists, openings, demonstrations, tours, open studios and neighborhood art walks at museums, galleries, parks, neighborhood art centers, artists’ studios and other locations throughout the city.
