ATTENTION ARTISTS!
Deadline Projects is searching for local visual artists to exhibit work in our next themed show:  "Electric".
Submitting is FREE, fast, and easy.  Deadline to submit is Monday, Sept. 15th.
HOW TO SUBMIT:

1. Compose an email to miss.sarah.perez@gmail.com
2. Attach three images of recent work (jpg, gif, or bmp format) to your email.
3. Include a brief introduction about yourself, including what kind of art you make and why you are interested in showing with us.
4. Include your website if you have one.
5. Include your artist resume and/or artist statement if you have one.
***PLEASE NOTE:  If you are accepted, there is a $30 participation fee.  Deadline Projects is 'not-for-profit' and the participation fee is only to cover the costs of the exhibition.  This figure is based on a 15-artist show and the breakdown per person is $7 (beverages/ice/cups) + $8 (showcards) + $15 (gallery rental) = $30.  We wish we didn't have to charge, but these things cost money!  We thank you  for your understanding.
SHOW DETAILS:
THEME: The theme for this show is: "Electric".  In itself, the word "electric" is powerful, exuding a dynamic vibrancy as well as literally referring to a source of energy.  Each artist's interpretation of what is "electric" will serve as the inspiration for each work of art in this show.

WHEN: This one-night-only show will be Saturday, November 15th, at Happy Dog Gallery in Wicker Park from 6pm to 11pm.

GUIDELINES: Accepted artists must be able to committ to the following guidelines:

1. Guest Artists are expected to attend the exhibition.
2. Guest Artists must make arrangements to set up/hang their work at the gallery space on Thursday, Nov. 13th, 2008 from 7:30pm to 10:00pm.
3. Guest Artists must make arrangements to pick up their work no later than the day after the show.
4. All work is expected to be 'new' and should relate to the theme. While we prefer it if your work was made specifically for the theme, we will accept 'previously unexhibited' work.
Deadline Projects is 'not-for-profit' and will take no commission if you sell an artwork.  100% of all proceeds from the sale of artwork(s)  go directly to the artist.
Insurance for your artwork is your responsibility. Participation is at-will and at the artist's own risk. While we are committed to doing our best to maintain a safe and secure environment, Deadline Projects will assume no responsibility if your piece is damaged or stolen. By accepting the invitation to exhibit, you agree to these conditions.
