Shiku-Garu/Melon-Chan:

For the second installment of the Shiku-Garu series, the artists of Deadline Projects were invited to display their art at the opening of the art/music/dance party in celebration of the graduation of Melon-Chan.

Melon is a character created by artist James Beckman.  She's a girl who has just accomplished a major milestone in her life, getting her BFA, yet she feels small now out in the big world.  Melon represents feelings that many artists have after joining the 'real world'.  The artworks presented channelled the spirit of Melon-Chan and were guided by the dimensions of 12" x 12" x 12" or smaller. Tiny art for a fictitious girl who feels small
